Dental Surgical Implant Units and Surgical Parts

What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are oral fixtures that are surgically embedded into the jawbone. There are two types of dental implants, endosteal and subperiosteal. Endosteal, the most common, implants are implanted directly into the jawbone and subperiosteal implants are implanted into the gums.

The implants are embedded into the jawbone using implant surgical units. Dental surgical implant units allow for the user to cut, grind, or file the bone in the jaw to enable insertion of implant hardware, like posts. While most dental surgical units are used for implants, some units are versatile and can be used to modify bone and teeth for . other oral and endodontic procedures, such as bone augmentation, sinus lifts, ridge expansions, and root canals.

Each Traus surgical implant unit is made with high-quality materials, is ergonomically designed and uses the latest and proprietary Traus technology to meet the unique needs of the user, protect patients, and minimize damage to bone and surrounding tissue.
